About Me
I'm Nick — a wildlife photographer, explorer, and passionate naturalist with an insatiable drive to document the natural world. From the sweeping savannahs of East Africa to the dense rainforests of South-East Asia, I chase that perfect split-second moment where light, behaviour, and instinct converge.
What began as a love for adventure and travel quickly evolved into something far deeper — a lifelong commitment to capturing the beauty and fragility of the creatures we share this planet with. I travel light, move slow, and wait long. The wild rewards patience.
My work sits at the intersection of fine-art photography and documentary storytelling. Every image is an invitation to look closer, care more, and protect what remains.
On the gear side, I shoot Fujifilm — X-series bodies paired with XF lenses. My main kit is the X-H2S and the X-T5, paired with the XF 200mm f/2 and the XF 500mm f/5.6. I also have a Viltrox 85mm f/1.8 that I've used a few times for wildlife work, and I run all of the teleconverters with it.

The App offers two identification methods. On-device identification uses Google's ML Kit and processes images entirely on your iPhone — no data leaves your device. Note: the on-device model is optimised for North American species and may be less accurate elsewhere.
Enhanced AI Identification is an optional feature (limited to 2 uses per week) that sends your photo to Google LLC via the Gemini API for a more detailed result. The App will ask for your consent before your first use of this feature. You may decline and continue using all other features without restriction. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed via this feature: policies.google.com/privacy.
Notes, saved locations, and preferences are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to external servers. Photos submitted to the AI feature are not stored by us or retained by Google after processing.
To delete all local App data, uninstall the App. To request deletion of any analytics data, contact us at nickbc31@googlemail.com.
